The GTEx training provides donation professionals with techniques and language to optimally discuss tissue donation for biobanking with families of donor-eligible patients. Users will learn how to successfully and adeptly present this donation opportunity to families while also addressing their questions and reactions that commonly arise in these discussions.

Based on over 20 years of research, this training program uses interactive technology to teach users 12 critical skills of effective communication that have proven to enhance communication with donor-eligible families, mitigate the stressful consent environment, and improve authorization outcomes.
Communicating Effectively about Donation for VCA
This evidence-based training program introduces 12 critical skills of effective communication for use specifically in approaching families of potential donors about the option of VCA donation, and demonstrates scenarios of face and hand donation discussions in which donation professionals model these skills.
